Inspired by a spinning wheel that my great great grandmother brought with her on the ship when she emigrated from Norway, which I inherited from my grandmother. The circumference of the branch circle is the length of 100 of my steps, one for each year of my grandmother's life. Both mugwort and Norway spruce are found in old Norse and Christian mythology, and Norway spruce is a non-native plant brought by the Scandinavians.
