Parts of A Whole

Parts of a Whole is a large scale sculpture installation located at Singer Hall, Swarthmore College, Swarthmore, Pennsylvania. The project proposal and installation were completed in partnership between Jacqueline Yvonne Tull and Erin Wheary during the COVID-19 pandemic. While members of Swarthmore College were separated from campus and loved ones, their geographic coordinates were collected and engraved on hexagon shaped, blue edge glow acrylic pieces, and assembled and hung in clusters to represent the continued spirit of togetherness and collaborative work that the Swarthmore community embodies, and a memorial to the shared, challenging time of the pandemic.
